Pumping Station and Force Main Repair

SCOPE
FORCE MAIN REPAIR WORK  On the 12” and 16” forcemain pipelines along Bruceville road, relocation of 30 CARVs to new 48-inch or 60-inch manholes. Demolish seven existing CARV valve vaults and abandon existing piping in place for all connections. PUMPING STATION REPAIR WORK  Demolition and re-construction of concrete fuel containment area pad, housekeeping pad, odor control pad, and concrete pads surrounding wet wells. Install temporary bypass pumping including flow isolation of 42” influent sewer and construction of temporary 12” discharge connection for bypass pump discharge.  Removal of 6” ventilation piping, 8” pump discharge piping and associated appurtenances, 4” drain piping and valve vault from Wet Well 1.  Removal of 20” forcemain pipeline.  Removal of 6” ventilation piping from Wet Well 2.  Removal and replacement of three 30” by 36” fabricated slide gates that isolate the Wet Wells 1 and 2.  Removal and re-alignment of entrance gate at S135 Pump Station.  Removal and re-installation of potable water piping.  Remove and install four new non-clog submersible lift pumps including new nonsparking guide rails, new VFDs with active harmonic filter and circuit breakers, electrical and signal conduits and cables. Install new pressure and level instrumentation and junction boxes.  Install new 12” and 16” discharge piping from pumps in Wet Well 1 with new valve vault and bypass vault including valves and appurtenances, piping supports, access hatches, drains and ladders.  Install new 8” and 12” discharge piping from Wet Well 2 to Valve Vault 3.  Complete modifications to valve vault 3 including connection of 12” and 16” discharge piping, installation of new 16” gate valve, installation of one new CARV, and re-location of one existing CARV.  Site drainage improvements including removal and installation of asphalt paving, excavation and off-site storage of native soil and backfill and re-compaction of native and engineered soils, new trench drain and drain piping and cored drainage holes in existing CMU walls.  Install push (pin) piles on new and existing structures.  Reconstruction of crane, hoist and trolley including new power connection to the hoist and trolley and new lighting.
