SCOPE
The Aerotropolis Regional Transportation Authority (ARTA) is a collaborative government entity created to plan, fund and build the roads, interchanges, for the transportation backbone needed to transform the land south of Denver International Airport into a major economic and development hub. It is comprised of approximately 7,100 Acres bounded by Picadilly Road on the west, 56th Ave on the north, Haysmont Rd on the east and I-70 on the south. AACMD is responsible for designing, constructing, and managing the construction of certain public improvements benefiting The Aurora Highlands, both onsite and offsite. The new road section is a reconstruction of 26th Avenue beginning ~900’ west of Main St from the existing connection of 26th Avenue and extending ~6900’ east of Main St. along 26th Avenue. Project deliverables include but are not limited to the construction of approximately 7800 LF of a complete, new four lane minor arterial road. Included with the roadway construction but not limited to, will be the construction of a complete road section, unsignalized intersections for future roadway connections, sidewalk, storm drains, sanitary sewer, potable water, electrical and street lighting, earthwork, signage, striping, erosion control, traffic control, landscaping, irrigation, seed, and mulch. The landscaping and irrigation plan work will be limited to the north side of the road only, the south side (behind the curb) is excluded due to the Easement acquisition issue. Contractor shall be responsible for coordination with all utility providers for construction within the project limits. Contractors must provide final grade (±6") in the north side of project 10ft utility easement limit before utility providers begin the open cut or boring of new utilities.
