SCOPE
The existing high pressure 10-inch spiral wound steel fill line for the Stillwell water storage tanks has reached the end of its useful life. Since this line is to be replaced, Public Works will also replace the 4-inch HDPE slipped inside a 6-inch cast iron drain line for the Stillwell water storage tanks. The fill and drain lines to be installed in the Tomboy Rd. hillside are to be installed in the same trench for the first 500-LF. The preferred trench design is 48-inches in width. The average slope of the Tomboy Rd hillside is approximately 60%. An excavator anchoring and safety plan will be required in coordination with the awarded contractor, Town of Telluride Public Works, and Buckhorn Engineering. Public Works has identified a potential subcontractor for this work. NTP Specialty Equipment is a local contractor with a spider excavator and is familiar with this project. NTP has installed the lower rockfall barrier fence in coordination with Public Works for this project. In terms of aboveground features, the remainder of the project involves an intermediate attenuator fence at STA 4+25, and a lower retaining wall. The awarded contractor shall facilitate fusing HDPE in adherence to the project plans and specifications. https://www.bidnetdirect.com/colorado/solicitations/open-bids/STILLWELL-FILL-AND-DRAIN-LINE-FUSIBLE-HDPE-TOMBOY-RD-HILLSIDE/0000413364?purchasingGroupId=8409951&origin=2 togren@telluride.gov
