AGENCY

SCOPE
The Lake Pippin channel runs north-south, while the prevailing winds, particularly during storms, are from southwest to northeast. This pulls the sand from the west side of the channel into the channel. With the erosion of the original steel sheet piles and rip-rap, the flow of sand into the channel has increased over the years, creating the need for more frequent dredging in order to maintain the depth of minus five foot (-5’) mean low water line, twenty-five feet (25') wide by five hundred (500') feet long, as per the MSBU Charter Terms and Conditions. The access to the site will be from the west, using the Gunter-Maxwell access road in order to access the site to perform the work. Contractor shall provide and supply all labor, materials, and equipment to perform the work as described below in more detail. https://www.bidnetdirect.com/florida/solicitations/open-bids/Lake-Pippin-Channel-Maintenance-Dredging-Seawll-and-Riprap-Maintenance-Project/0000405221?purchasingGroupId=8408751&origin=2 dmason@myokaloosa.com
