SCOPE
As part of the Water Authority’s 100-year water management strategy document, Water 2120: Security Our Water Future plan, the Water Authority identified the need for future reuse water sources and associated infrastructure located in the Westside service area. Additionally, as part of the latest Infrastructure Improvements Planning, the Corrales interceptor (aka Westside interceptor) and Riverside drain interceptor (aka Corrales Trunk) were highlighted as critical capacity-restricted sanitary sewer collection infrastructure serving the Westside service area. In addition to the existing and projected collection system flows associated with the system, the industrial user (Intel) has indicated plans to discharge up to 7.25 million gallons per day (mgd) at buildout into the Corrales Interceptor, which then flows to the Westside Interceptor. This flow from Intel will further stress the existing collection system and infrastructure. The purpose of this Project is to construct Phase 1 of the overall project, which provides a new treatment and reclamation facility to provide capacity relief for the collection system due to anticipated future limitations, outfall and vegetated conveyance to the Rio Grande, and to provide provisions for future non-potable reuse distribution for the Water Authority’s customers in the Westside service area for turf irrigation and limited other uses, including industrial. https://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-mexico/abcwua/solicitations/CQ2025000001-Phase-1-Bosque-Water-Reclamation-Facility/0000386370 amagallanes@abcwua.org
