SCOPE
The purpose of this project is to relocate certain functions of the Pima County Health Department, located in the Herbert K. Abrams Public Health Center, 3950 South Country Club Rd., Tucson, AZ, from the first floor to the second floor shell space. The project includes approximately 23,500sf of tenant improvement work on the second floor and minor selective demo and renovation work on the first floor, east of the Vital Records lobby pursuant to the specifications and plans by Swaim Associates, Ltd. dated May 5, 2011 and May 4, 2011 respectively. The design of the second floor tenant improvement is patterned after the existing first floor layout, with modifications as necessary. Materials will be salvaged and re-used to the greatest extent possible. The tenant improvement includes, but is not limited to, work in the following disciplines: selective demolition, interior architectural woodwork, firestopping & sealants, hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors, hardware, interior glazing, drywall assemblies with non-structural metal framing, acoustic tile ceilings, resilient flooring, carpet, paint, building sprinklers, plumbing, HVAC system, electrical system, fire alarm system. The Abrams Building hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. The 1 st 3rd and 4th floors, and the east end of the 2nd floor will be continuously occupied during construction.
