SCOPE
The project involves the expansion of a 1.92-mile-long,10-foot-wide concrete trail as part of the Howard Peak, Salado Creek Greenway. It will extend from Thousand Oaks to Perrin Homestead, with a connector trail to Kallison Park. Key components of the project include the construction of eleven low-water crossings, the trail will traverse under Thousand Oaks utilizing the existing 10' x 10' box culverts, installation of a multi-span pedestrian bridge over Perrin Beitel, traffic control plan at Perrin Beitel retaining wall, construction of a switchback leading up to Thousand Oaks, bump-outs with enhanced boulders, demolition, and installation of fencing and existing guardrails, proposed CPS gravel access road, installation of mile and quarter-mile markers, wayfinding signs, and 911 locator markers.
