SCOPE
During Phase I, water and sanitary sewer pipes will be constructed in the area where the alignment is in conflict with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) sidewalk improvement project (under another contract). The overlap will be from Maverick Drive (on the north) to approximately 2000 Business Interstate 35 E (I-35 Business Loop), along both east and west side of the roadway. The proposed water line system will include approximately 1,675 LF of 8-inch water line running along the east side of the I-35 Business Loop. This also includes the water service lines to each property along the alignment up to the edge of the TXDOT right-of-way. The proposed sanitary sewer system will include approximately 6,200 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer line and approximately 430 LF of force main (FM) along the east and west of the I-35 business loop to convey the sanitary flow to the existing sewer network in the future. Phase II covers the remainder of the project scope. The water system includes about 5,800 LF of 8-inch water line east of I-35 Business Loop and 4,180 LF of 8-inch water line crossing the I-35 Business Loop roadway and running along the west side of the business loop. The crossing of the I-35 Business Loop roadway will be done by 70 LF of trenchless installation utilizing a 24-inch steel casing pipe. The water system also includes the installation of water service lines and water meters at each property along the alignment up to the edge of the TXDOT right-of-way. The proposed sanitary sewer system will include approximately 10,500 LF of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer line along the west and east of I-35 BL. The proposed sanitary sewer on the east side of I-35 BL will start near Jack’s Produce Co., parallel the roadway, connect to the sewer pipe that is constructed in Phase I and eventually discharge into an existing manhole at the back entrance of Pearsall High School. The sanitary sewer along the west side will start at County Road 2588 on the north end and connect to the sewer pipe that is constructed in Phase I; both gravity flows will converge near Sutton Road. The sewer from the west alignments will be connected to the sewer on the east side of I-35 BL via trenchless technology. The system will also include two new lift stations (LS) to convey the sanitary flow to the existing sewer network. https://www.civcastusa.com/project/670feb1a28290f100751ebf9/summary vujt2@cdmsmith.com
