SCOPE
AWARD MAY 2015: The Water Main Replacement Program evaluates and replaces aging water mains within the City of Phoenix. The primary focus of the program is currently water mains in alleys and easements, which have historically had high break rates and are difficult to repair. Work in these projects typically includes installation of new two-inch to 12-inch water mains, multiple cut and plugs, and installation or relocation of fire hydrants. Coordination with City staff and plumbing contractors regarding relocation of water services may also be required. Specific information for the identified project numbers is as follows: WS85500380 Work will include replacement of approximately 210 linear feet of two-inch, 1,101 linear feet of four-inch, 15,204 linear feet of six-inch, and 2,950 linear feet of eight-inch water main, and 44 fire hydrants. WS85509005 Work will include replacement of approximately 991 linear feet of four-inch, 10,465 linear feet of six-inch, and 2,613 linear feet of eight-inch water main, and 23 fire hydrants.
