SCOPE
This Request for Bids (RFB) is issued by the Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) to select, through a competitive bidding process, a Contractor to construct two bus stop turnouts along Hatch Road. The first bus stop turnout is planned for the intersection of Hatch Road and Moffett Road, located within the City of Ceres. The second bus stop turnout will be situated at the intersection of Hatch Road and Boulder Avenue, which lies within the unincorporated area of Stanislaus County. This project aims to improve accessibility and convenience for transit users by providing designated areas for buses to safely pull out of traffic while picking up and dropping off passengers. Construction of the project must begin in Fall 2024 and be completed by Spring 2025. TID has stipulated that all construction activities involving the canal banks must occur between the last water in the canal during the 2024 season and the first water in the canal for the 2025 season. The canals are typically drained from approximately October through February, although the exact dates may vary and have not yet been determined by TID. To eliminate the risk of flooding and canal wall failure, the canals must remain empty during the canal bank construction phases, including soil removal and replacement. The successful bidder will commit to the identified project timeline, prioritize this StanRTA project as a single project at two sites, adhere to engineering guidelines and inspector requirements, and complete the scope of work in accordance with City and County standards, respectively. https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/51175/bo/bo-detail/121440 din@stanRTA.org
