(CMAR) Salt Gila Discharge Manifold Pipe Reline
BID DATE

AGENCY
Central Arizona Project
ESTIMATE
$3,400,000
SCOPE
The two (2) steel discharge manifolds and respective discharge lines at CAWCD’s Salt Gila Pumping Plant were constructed in 1982 and lined internally with a coal tar enamel coating. This lining is failing and will be replaced with this project over the course of two (2) years during two (2) separate half plant outages; where one manifold and one discharge line will relined during each half plant outage. Each manifold consists of five (5) pump discharge runners ranging in diameter from 48 inch to 90 inch that feed into the manifold. Each manifold has roughly 10,000 square feet of surface area. Each discharge line is ~144 inches in diameter, ~200 feet long, and on a ~28 degree slope. The orignial coal tar enamel lining will be removed, steel substrate prepped to near white metal, and relined using a modern 100% solids epoxy coating system. kingles@cap-az.com
