SCOPE
AWARD END OF MAY 2015: This project consists of a state-of-the-art expansion to Reid Park Zoo’s (RPZ) existing veterinary facilities. The expansion will include approximately a 7,228 square foot addition to the existing building. The expansion will include a surgical suite, general treatment area, diagnostic lab/pharmacy, an intensive care unit, radiology facilities, an educational area, dormitory, and animal holding areas. The existing facility (approx. 3,500 SF) will receive new mechanical equipment with the remainder of improvements being primarily cosmetic (lighting, suspended ceiling, paint and floor covering). Related infrastructure to support the new development such as electrical and gas service, water, sewer, paving and veterinary equipment will be included as well. The facility will be designed and constructed with a focus on sustainable development and ‘green’ building techniques. William “Bert” Resimont (520) 837-412 or William.Resimont@tucsonaz.gov
