SCOPE
The project scope includes providing a wider roadway bench and paved shoulders for approximately 0.6 miles from State Route (SR) 260 to Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest (ASNF) land. The improvements will consist of the removal of the existing asphalt surface and base material and the construction of a new roadway structural section, including new aggregate base and a new asphalt surface. The Project will provide a new paved surface, ditch construction or reconditioning to improve drainage, extending, or replacing culverts, the replacement of a cattle guard, minor City of Show Low utility valve box and manhole adjustments and the installation of new street signage. The existing roadway bench width of approximately 20 feet is proposed to be widened to 24 feet, allowing for curb and curb and gutter on both sides of Joe Tank Road. Access to all approach roads within the project limits must be maintained during construction.
