Creek Protection Phase II Priority Sites

SCOPE
The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment for the Creek Protection Project Phase II Priority Sites. The work includes repair and replacement of sewer pipeline crossings at five individual sites; Site 10, Site 11, Site 18, Site 31, and Site 42 as shown in the Contract Documents. All Work associated with this contract must include, but is not limited to, mobilization/demobilization, dewatering of excavations, sheeting, shoring, and bracing of excavation, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, cleaning, debris removal and disposal, verification of pipe lengths and diameters, installation of steel casing and VCP by open cut, installation of drilled piers, permitting, site restoration, and additional items or details that are required by the Contract Documents to be performed, placed, constructed or installed. Work also includes sewer flow control for pipeline work including bypass pumping over or around creeks where shown on the Contract Drawings or directed by the Resident Engineer, and bank restoration as shown on the Contract Drawings. Additional items or details not mentioned above but required by these specifications and drawings must be performed, placed, constructed, or installed in accordance with the Contract Documents. All work will be completed as outlined in provided permit requirements. Performance of work within the creek waterways will be limited to the period between May 15 and October 1 during the construction season. PRE-BID CONFERENCE Sacramento Area Sewer District, 10060 Goethe Rd., Sunset Maple Room, Sacramento CA 95827 Tuesday, February 24th, 2015, at 9:00 am A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for the purpose of reviewing and answering questions regarding this project and a site visit will be conducted immediately following the pre-bid conference. Attendance at the pre-bid conference and site visit is not mandatory for contractors submitting a bid to be considered qualified. However, attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged. Contract Documents for Contract 4231 may be purchased at the Municipal Services Agency, Site Improvement and Permit Section, located in the County Administration Building, 827-7th Street, Room 105, Sacramento, CA 95814, telephone (916) 874-1726, between the hours of 9:00 am  4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. The cost for each set in electronic format is $10.00 (non-refundable). Mail orders of Contract Documents will be shipped by United Parcel Service (UPS) at the purchasers expense. The purchaser must provide a UPS Account Number at the time of purchase. The Sacramento Area Sewer District Standards and Specifications, version 2.0, July 24, 2013, which are incorporated by reference in the Contract Documents, are also available in electronic format at www.sacsewer.com under the ¿Developer Resources¿ tab. The County of Sacramento received final approval from the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations as a Labor Compliance Program effective March 15, 1994. All questions regarding this Labor Compliance Program should be directed to the Labor Compliance Section at (916) 875-2711. This is a construction project in accordance with Section 1771.5 of the California Labor Code. Pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1720 and following, and Section 1770 and following, the successful bidder must pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. Copies of the prevailing wage determinations are on file in the office of the Clerk of the Board.
