Common Area Improvements Point Loma Wastewater Treatment

SCOPE
The project involves improving an area on Point Loma WastewaterTreatment Plant property that is approximately 3000 square feet and situated near the top of a seacliff. This work includes clearing, grubbing, removing, and disposing vegetation and debriswithin the limits of construction and it also includes the removal of approximately 24 square feetof concrete and 98 square feet of asphalt which are approximately 6 inches thick. Constructionwill consist of placing approximately 2200 square feet of gray disintegrated granite with avarying depth of 3 inches to 13 inches (approximately 60 tons), pouring a 110 foot long by 30inch wide reinforced concrete footing with a varying depth of 3.5 inches to 30 inches(approximately 14 cubic yards), installing a 6 inch diameter PVC drain pipe through the newfooting with rock and filter fabric around pipe inlet as shown on the construction drawings,placing ten barriers (k-rail, provided by City of San Diego) on new footing, constructing a 32 footlong by 42 inch wide concrete swale with a thickness of 7 inches (approximately 3 cubic yards),relocating a 59 foot long wood railroad tie retaining wall that has a height of 20 inches and is 8inches wide, preparing soil base east of the relocated retaining wall so that the wall matchesheight/slope of existing wall to north (Contractor may need to provide some new wood logs), andplacing two concrete picnic tables (provided by City of San Diego) on the finished surface.
