SCOPE
SHORTLIST AUG 2023: The proposed project includes work at three separate City of Mesa sites to improve fueling systems, improve onsite drainage conditions and restore pavement. The City may include other miscellaneous improvements at the sites, as needed. Temporary fuel tanks will need to be provided when required fueling capacity cannot be maintained through construction phasing. The project scope at each location includes: 1. Superstition Sub-station: 2430 South Ellsworth Road - Replace two (2) 12,000 gallon underground fuel tanks with three (3) 20,000 gallon underground vaulted fuel tanks and associated fuel system equipment. - Construct a lighted shade canopy above the fuel station. - Regrade, repave, and construct drainage structures to route onsite flows away from fuel station and restore parking lot pavement condition. Full depth pavement replacement is anticipated. - Construct underground conduit between parking lot light poles to the Superstition Sub-Station communications room for future security camera upgrades. 2. Falcon Field Fuel Station; 4530 E. McKellips Road - Replace three (3) underground fiberglass fuel tank risers with three (3) new riser systems. 3. 6th Street Fueling Station: 300 E 6th Street - Replace numerous underground fuel vault concrete stack-ring risers with new riser systems. - Regrade area around fuel station to alleviate ponding. - Remove and realign curb to allow fuel delivery trucks to navigate around fuel dispensers.
