SCOPE
Prescott National Forest has a construction of a Turnaround road, gate, and traffic control device. Work includes approximately 275 LF of new asphalt roadway with width varying from 14 to 20 and including 1 aggregate shoulder. Also includes installing a salvaged double lane gate, a 12 width of traffic spikes, 4 concrete valley gutters, drainage channels and rip rap. 1/2 mile from site, old traffic device and gate are to be removed and asphalt road patched. Period of Performance will be 45 days from the start date of the project. Location approximately 6 miles northwest of Prescott from downtown Prescott, take Montezuma/Whipple St. north and west to the junction with Miller Valley/Willow Creek Rd. and continue through the intersection. Whipple St. now becomes Iron Springs Rd. Take Iron Springs Rd. 1.6 miles west and turn right (north) on Granite Basin Rd. (Forest Road #374). Travel approximately 2 miles north. Cayuse Equestrian Day Use is on the right (east) and the project is the vacant land to the left (west) of Granite Basin Road at Cayuse. Joni E.
