SCOPE
The 2023 STREET OVERLAY PROJECT – PAVEMENT EVALUATION ZONE 2 & ZONE 4 consists of a 2-inch asphalt concrete overlay with Forta-Fi Fiber on all streets listed below, except Pleasant Ave and Ruby Street which will consist of a 3-inch asphalt concrete overlay with Forta-Fi Fiber over top a minimum of 3 inches of aggregate base. PALM AVENUE – Highway 49 to Auburn Ravine Road AUBURN RAVINE ROAD – Palm Ave/Auburn Ravine Intersection to Elm Avenue RUBY STREET – Cul-de-sac to Lincoln Way SHIRLEY STREET – Elm Avenue to Garfield Street MORGAN COURT – Magnolia Avenue to Tennis Way BOARDMAN STREET – Cherry Avenue to Linden Avenue EAST STREET – Lincoln Way to Cul-de-sac MAPLE STREET – I-80 Maple Street Off Ramp to 100’ west of Lincoln Way LINCOLN WAY – 100’ north of Maple Street to Oakwood Drive COLLEGE WAY – Auburn Folsom Road to Knoll Street HIGH STREET – Pleasant Avenue to Hale Street HALE STREET – High Street to Orange Street ORANGE STREET – Agard Street to Linden Avenue NEIGHBORS LANE – High Street to Orange Street PARKSIDE TERRACE – Finley Street to End BRADSHAW PARKING LOT – Lincoln Way north of Cleveland Avenue PLEASANT AVENUE BIKE PATH – Pacific Avenue to Pleasant Avenue Additional work will include over-excavation in areas of poor structural sections, planing of existing asphalt concrete along gutters and intersections, adjusting manholes, valve boxes, and other utilities to grade, site preparation and thermoplastic obliteration, and pavement restriping and traffic control for all locations. Maple Street and Orange Street will also require grinding of asphalt concrete with Portland cement concrete underneath the asphalt surface. Grinding should be no less than ½ inch below the adjacent lip of gutter pan at these two locations. Geotextile fabric will be placed between the grind and the 2 inch asphalt overlay. Night work will be mandatory for the Maple Street location. Hale Street and College Way from High Street to Knoll Street will require two lifts. The first lift should be a minimum of 1 ½ inches with a 1 ½ inch lift on top. Geotextile fabric will be placed between the two lifts. Pleasant Avenue and Ruby Street will consist of a 3-inch asphalt concrete overlay with Forta-Fi Fiber over top a minimum of 3 inches of aggregate base. The bid item for aggregate base in these locations will include all work associated with compacting, leveling, and grading base to place 3 inches of asphalt concrete above the surface.
