BID DATE

AGENCY

ESTIMATE
$2,250,000
SCOPE
The City intends to design and construct a pedestrian bridge. The proposed location is just south of Van Buren Street, crossing 91st Avenue that has over 24,000 vehicle counter per day. The structure will be both the figurative and literal bridge in connecting the community across the busy street to several schools and City services. The structure will be fully ADA compliant and also allow bicycle access. The City recently completed construction of a new City Hall building on the southeast corner of the intersection of 91st Ave and Van Buren St and is planning to construct an Aquatics Center south of the new building. There is also a plan to construct a temporary surface parking lot on the northwest corner of 91st Ave and Monroe St, which in the future would be the location of a 2-story parking structure. The Pedestrian Bridge would need the possibility to connect to the parking structure when it is built.
