(CMAR) Thunderbird Reservoir Distribution Improvements

SCOPE
The following major reservoir rehabilitation components will be included in Phase I of this project. a. Remove and replace the entire metal roof decking with a new standing seam metal roof. b. Install new ridge vents and perimeter eave vents. c. Install new access hatches for mixing and additional mechanical equipment. d. Rehabilitate the reservoir girders and purlins. e. Sandblast and recoat purlins and girders as identified in the October 2022 inspection. f. Replace girder and purlin wall connections and expansion joints. g. Install new walkways and access hatches on the roof. h. Repair all structural defects identified in the October 2022 inspection. i. Disinfection byproduct management, including but not limited to the following: • Installation of new mixers • Passive ventilation equipment • Second chlorine dose location at the outlet j. Replace all electrical, PLC, RTU/controls, and security equipment and systems. k. Install new flow measurement equipment and associated mechanical equipment a. Rehabilitate the existing Zone 2/3 control facility, including the following: • Condition assessment • Replacement of valves as required • Replacement of air release valves with isolation • Replacement of pipe and appurtenances as required • Additional instrumentation and communication equipment as required b. Construction of a new booster pump station adjacent to the Zone 2/3 flow control facility, including the following: • New site grading and secured access • CMU wall enclosure and prefabricated building with HVAC • New pump station to boost water to Zone 3 • Above grade piping, fittings, supports, valves, and appurtenances potentially up to 48” diameter • Two (2) new 36” headers connected to the existing Zone 2/3 control facility • Electrical equipment such as service entrance section, automatic transfer switch, motor control center, variable frequency drives, transformer, backup engine generator, and grounding system • PLC based digital control and instrumentation c. Installation of new APS primary power service, conduit and fiber, and electrical equipment to service the reservoir, new booster pump station, and existing 2/3 control facility.
