Monterey Peninsula Engineering (MPE) - $21,301,694 Graniterock Company Granite Rock - $25,848,154 Project improvements include resurfacing the roadway (Rubberized Cape Seal) for 5.6 miles along the Soquel Avenue/Drive corridor, with striping improvements including green bike lanes and green bike boxes, construction of 2.7 miles of Class II Buffered bike lanes, and 2.4 miles of Class IV separated bikeways. The Project also includes traffic signal upgrades by furnishing and installation of Adaptive Signal systems to 15 signalized intersections, new Fiber Optic improvements for traffic signals coordination, and installation of Transit Signal Priority (TSP) systems to 21 signalized intersections for Santa Cruz METRO bus transit. Pedestrian improvements include construction of approximately 2,500 feet of new sidewalk areas, installation of Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at 21 signalized intersections and 11 mid-block pedestrian crossings, enhancements to 4 mid-block Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossings, construction of 7 new mid-block RRFB pedestrian crossings, and upgrades to approximately 96 ADA ramps to current standards. Project improvements also include adjustments and relocations to City of Santa Cruz Water Department (SCWD) and Soquel Creek Water District (SqCWD) facilities, including meter boxes and water valves, relocation of Fire Hydrants and Air Release Valves (ARV), installation of a new 12” water main, and removal of abandoned Cast Iron Pipe. https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/santacruzcounty/projects/38845?section=317414
