SCOPE
This project shall include work as follows: • 2,100-feet of 42” Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer Mortar (FRPM) Pipe diversion trunk sewer along Chicago Street via open-cut construction from 1800N/Beck St to the existing Phase 1 Inlet • 1,710-feet of 54” FRPM diversion trunk sewer within Rosewood Park via open-cut construction from the existing Phase 1 Outlet Structure to 1200W. • Eleven (11) FRPM or Pre-Cast Concrete with FRPM liner sanitary sewer manholes. • One (1) 72” steel casing and 54” FRPM carrier pipe via trenchless construction along the western limits of Rosewood Park parallel to 1200W. • Watertight launching and receiving pit(s) for microtunneling work. • Five (5) subgrade cast-in-place concrete junction, diversion, and bypassing structures for wastewater utility service. • Two (2) separate extended duration (estimated 3 months) Sewer bypassing of the 64” Brick Arched Beck Trunk (~10 MGD) and 78” RCP 1200W Trunk (~30 MGD). • Modifications to SLCWRF IPS Screening Facility to accommodate 1200W Bypass • Restoration and construction of betterments and landscaping in Rosewood Park. Construction of asphalt concrete maintenance and pedestrian access path. • Relocation of existing fire hydrant and water lines within City right-of-way. • Contaminated soil testing, onsite management and disposal. • Groundwater management, including water pollution control and stormwater pollution prevention, as required for trenchless construction entry/exit shafts, open cut gravity pipe installation, cast-in-place structures, and manhole construction, including any treatment, handling and disposal in accordance with applicable permits and regulations. • Clearing of Public Right-of-Way prior to commencement of construction activities. • Railroad track demolition of crossing at Duluth and N. Chicago St. • Completion of post construction testing and video inspection of the trunk line and manholes/structures. • Performing public relations and outreach activities during construction. • N.
