SCOPE
UPDATE 12/23/14: AWARD MID JAN 2015: SHORTLIST 12/18/14, AWARD 12/19/14. This contract is for the overall rehabilitation and raise of Vineyard Road FRS and is anticipated to include a portion of Powerline Channel construction, likely to be at the channel discharge location (“tie-in location”) into the Vineyard Road FRS impoundment. Vineyard Road FRS will be raised and rehabilitated to safely pass the probable maximum flood (PMF), while accounting for estimated future subsidence, freeboard and sediment storage volume. The estimated sediment storage volume may include sediment from the Powerline watershed. A new principal outlet system will be constructed followed by removal of the existing principal outlet system. The general location of the north and south auxiliary spillways are to be maintained and the existing earthcut spillways will be replaced with spillway structures as needed to safely pass the inflow design flood. The project will include a design phase Pre-Construction Services contract and the District anticipates at this time that a minimum of two construction phases will be required. The Pre-Construction services contract budget is not to exceed $750,000 and seven hundred thirty (730) calendar days. The Construction services contract cost is estimated at be $40,000,000 to $50,000,000 and must be completed by September 30, 2018. An “A” General Engineering License is required for this contract. Statement of Qualifications in the prescribed format must be received no later than 2:00 PM (local time) on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 and must be addressed to Maricopa County Office of Procurement Services, 320 West Lincoln, Second Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003. A MANDATORY SITE VISIT is being held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 8:00 A.M. (local time) near the project site in Apache Junction, AZ on the southeast corner of West Baseline Road and South Ironwood Drive followed by a MANDAORTY PRE-SUBMITTAL CONFERENCE being held at the Flood Control District Administration Building, 2801 W. Durango St., Phoenix AZ 85009 at 2:30 P.M. Attendance will be recorded at the Site Visit and the Pre-Submittal Conference. Only those firms that are recorded as being represented at both mandatory meetings will be eligible to submit a Statement of Qualifications.
