SCOPE
The City of Los Angeles, in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation, is proposing to improve pedestrian and bicycle facilities in Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. Improvements are located primarily on, but not limited to Santa Fe Avenue, Mateo Street, Traction Avenue, 4th Street, and the connections to the 6th Street Viaduct and Rail/Bus Transit. The project will provide bike lanes/bike routes, new/widened sidewalks with curb extensions, high visibility crosswalks, traffic-controlled intersections, wayfinding signage, pedestrian lighting and shade trees, among other improvements.
