SCOPE
The Sacramento Island Trail Project consists of constructing a new 0.86 mile long recreational trail and parking area in the Riverland Open Space in Redding, CA. The intent of the project is to improve access to the Sacramento River and the Bureau of Land Management Parcel west of the project area for fishing, hiking, biking and other recreational activities. The trail will be a 10-foot wide paved path with 2-foot gravel shoulders. The Parking Lot will be paved, contain 20 general purpose parking stalls, 2 ADA compliant stalls, and 5 spaces for large vehicles such as buses, motorhomes, or trucks with trailers. The primary work activities will consist of grading, drainage, paving, signing, striping, and landscaping. The project is located on land owned by the City of Redding. ABSTRACT
