BID DATE

AGENCY
Truckee Meadows Water Authority
ESTIMATE
$12,400,000
SCOPE
The Orr Ditch Booster Pump Station (BPS) is the primary backup raw water supply for the Chalk Bluff Water Treatment Plant (CB). The BPS is located southwest of the 4th St and W. McCarran Blvd intersection adjacent to the Truckee River. The existing BPS utilizes 10 – 400 HP submersible raw water pumps (5,000 GPM each) in two separate 31’x20’ wet well vaults. The primary water source for the BPS is an existing raw water intake structure on the north bank of the Truckee River that is fed from an adjacent diversion dam; the secondary source is the Orr Ditch (located between BPS and river intake). The BPS discharges to a 3000 LF force main that terminates at the CB headworks north of the BPS. The BPS electrical and controls is housed in a separate building south of the wet wells. Power supply for the BPS comes from CB and is backed up by standby generators. Lrader@tmwa.com
