SCOPE
This project consists of the rehabilitation of the inlet and outlet structures of the siphon located on the north boundary of the City of Tucson Silverbell Golf Course, inspecting and cleaning of the two barrels crossing the Santa Cruz river, and providing access to the outlet structure thru the existing right of way at the end of River Park Drive road. The main sewer line is a 48-inch diameter, CIPP lined reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), and can handle up to 20 MGD peak dry weather flow. The barrels are two concrete encased vitrified clay pipes, the primary is 30” diameter, and the secondary is 39” diameter. Both are approximately 615 feet in length. The inlet structure (1749-In, G-65-019) is reinforced concrete which has been exposed to high levels of hydrogen sulfide gas, causing extensive corrosion damaged. The inlet structure requires complete replacement. RWRD has chosen to utilize polymer concrete to replace the inlet structure. keith.rogers@pima.gov
