INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids will be received by D.R. Horton – Texas LTD. on behalf of Ellis County Municipal Utility District No. 1B, at the office of JBI Partners, Inc., 2121 Midway Road., Suite 300, Carrollton, Texas 75006 until 1:00 p.m., September 1, 2021, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read for the construction of the project: D.R. Horton – Texas, LTD. acting on behalf of Ellis County Municipal Utility District No. 1B For the construction of Utility Improvements to serve Bluff Springs, Phase 1 City of Ferris ETJ Ellis County, Texas JBI Project No. HOE310 A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on August 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at the office of JBI Partners, Inc., 2121 Midway Road., Suite 300, Carrollton, Texas 75006. Please note: JBI Partners COVID-19 policy includes face coverings and social distancing. Bids submitted by parties not attending the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will not be accepted or opened. Project scope shall include the Utility Improvements, approximately 6,279 LF of 12” and 8” water, 10,517 LF of 10” and 8” sanitary sewer and 6” force main, lift station, and 4,072 LF of 33” through 18” RCP storm sewer, all per NCTCOG, Construction Plans, and City of Ferris specifications to serve 165 lots on approximately 36 acres. The project is located West and South of the intersection of F.M. 983 and Jimmie Birdwell Blvd. in City of Ferris ETJ, Ellis County, Texas. The above-described construction will be performed in accordance with plans and specifications and any addenda thereto which may be issued prior to the opening of bids. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier’s Check, from a responsible bank in the State of Texas, or a Bid Bond, issued by a surety legally authorized to do business in the State of Texas, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Make the Cashier’s Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed advantageous to it and waive informalities in bidding.
