SCOPE
The project scope includes reconstruction of approximately 0.20-miles in length, which will improve the existing Callicoatte Road from Up River Road to Interstate Highway 37. This project will also have new driveways along with storm inlets and underground storm infrastructure to improve the drainage flow towards Up River road. The road is currently classified as a Secondary Arterial (A2) by the City of Corpus Christi Urban Transportation Plan (UTP). This classification designates that the street is to consist of a one-hundred-foot (100-foot) right-of-way with a fifty-four foot (54-foot) back of curb to back of curb (BC-BC) to provide four (4) through travel lanes and a center turn lane. This classification also designates that the street is to have and five-foot (5-foot) to eight-foot (8-foot) sidewalks on each side of the street which is not to be installed due to Right-Of-Way limitations and ditches. The street is not indicated on the Corpus Christi Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Bicycle Mobility Plan. The project will also include a one-thousand-two-hundred-foot (1,200-foot) 6” waterline extension from Rehfeld Road along the northside of the access road to Callicoatte Road. Additional improvements include infrastructure upgrades or replacements to the Stormwater, Water, and Wastewater systems, and related coordination with the City and private utility owners. Two pavement options will be considered, Base Bid 1 HMAC and Base Bid 2 Concrete. Contractors may bid either one or both options, all in accordance with the project specifications and plans. https://www.civcastusa.com/project/60e76c358136a513e4d559df/summary LoisH@cctexas.com
