JOB
Boggy Creek 6610 Shelton Rd Erosion Repair Grade Control
BID DATE

AGENCY
Austin
ESTIMATE
$2,295,000
SCOPE
Boggy Creek downstream of US Hwy 183 is a natural channel in highly erosive, Colorado River terrace deposits (sand). The stream is actively meandering with tall cut banks that are threatening private and public infrastructure (Delwau Rd, Shelton Lane, piplines, bike/ped trail, railroad). A portion of this project was completed in 2016 using redirective flow techniques to train the stream and stabilize the lateral movement of meander bends. The remaining elements of the project include a grade control structure at Hwy 183 and a retaining wall system to protect a vulnerable section the Southern Walnut Creek Trail. PWD is contributing funds to the project for trail protection and the CTRMA is contributing funds, by way of an Inter Local Agreement (ILA), for the grade control structure. https://www.austintexas.gov/financeonline/account_services/solicitation/solicitation_details.cfm?sid=135237 adriana.ybarra2@austintexas.gov
