INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids in duplicate addressed to 242, LLC on behalf of Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 95 will be received in the offices of Jones & Carter, Inc., 1575 Sawdust Rd Suite 400, The Woodlands, TX 77380, until 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021, and then publicly opened and read for furnishing all plant, labor, material and equipment and performing all work required for the construction of: Water, Sanitary and Drainage Facilities in Harper’s Preserve Sections 20-A & 20-C. Alternatively, bidders may elect to submit an electronic bid through the facilities of CivcastUSA at www.CivcastUSA.com. Subscription to CivcastUSA is required to submit electronic bids. By submitting an electronic bid, the bidder agrees and represents that it has the authority to submit such bid and that such bid constitutes a valid bid submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents without further signature or action by the bidder. All electronic bids are deemed to incorporate the provisions of the Contract Documents. Electronic bids must be submitted via CivcastUSA before the closing time indicated on the Invitation to Bidders. Bid bonds may be submitted electronically through the facilities of CivcastUSA in satisfaction of the Bid Security requirements described herein; however, certified or cashier’s checks in satisfaction of the Bid Security requirements must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, plainly identified on the outside with the contents, the bidder’s name, and the job name and number and addressed and delivered as prescribed in the Invitation to Bidders for sealed bids. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, large public gatherings are not permitted by law. Bids will be publicly read aloud at the time bids are due via teleconference call. The project is located south of the intersection of SH 242 and Harper’s Way, Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 95, Montgomery County, Texas. To access the site, proceed east from the intersection of I-45 and SH-242, approximately 0.75 miles and then south along Harper’s Way, approximately 1.0 miles. For construction contracts $50,000 and over but less than $250,000, the bidder shall submit a certified or cashier's check on a responsible bank in the State equal to two percent (2%) of the maximum total bid amount. For construction contracts over $250,000, the bidder shall submit either a 2% certified or cashier’s check or five percent (5%) bid bond of the maximum total bid amount. Bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened. There will be NO pre-bid conference for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities.
