SCOPE
Coastal Water Authority LBITP - 103 CR 2317 and Final Access Road Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 a.m., local time, on Friday, June 25, 2021, by Coastal Water Authority (CWA), 1801 Main Street, Suite 800, Houston, Texas 77002 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened. The project is located in Liberty County and begins approximately at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 1008 (FM 1008) and Liberty County Road 2317 (CR2317) and includes: Reconstruction of approximately 1800 LF of existing CR 2317 Removal and installation of reinforced concrete pipe cluverts, culvert end treatmens, pavement marking and signing Overlay of approximately 5300 LF of existing CR 2317 with 2.5-inch asphaltic concrete pavement Relocation of approxmately 2920 LF of existing CWA Access Roadway Drainage improvements including removing and installing rinforced concrete box culverts, 24 and 30-inch RCP and 30-inch CMP, inlets and storm manholes Overlay of approximately 2.5-inch asphaltic concrete pavement from teh interseciton of CR 2317 to the Caper Ridge Pump Station (approxmately 28,650 LF) Pavement marking and signage Bids shall be submitted on the Official Bid Forms provided. The signature page must be signed by a company official authorized to bind the company. As a good faith deposit to ensure execution of the Contract, if awarded, attached to the bid, Bidder will submit to CWA either (a) a certified cashier’s check drawn on a responsible bank in Texas equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Amount, or (b) a bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Amount and issued by a surety that is legally authorized to do business in Texas. Bid Documents may be obtained beginning May 28, 2021 by electronic download from CWA’s website (www.coastalwaterauthority.org) or Civcast (www.civcastusa.com). Documents can be examined at CWA’s Houston Office – 1801 Main Street, Suite 800, Houston, Texas 77002 (Contact David Miller, P.E. 713-658-0855). A mandatory pre-bid conference will convene at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at the project location (1 mile east of the Intersection of FM 1008 and CR2317 in Liberty County). All bidders are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend. CWA will conduct a tour of the site and show bidders the location of the proposed roadwork. CWA reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive formalities and irregularities. CWA also reserves the right to determine which Bid is the most advantageous to CWA and will result in the best and most economical completion of the work.
