BAR Constructors - $45,323,000 Thalle Construction Co - $45,812,500 Oscar Renda Johnson Bros Southland Holdings - $53,973,375 DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Work to modify the piping and valves for the KBR Reservoir is described in general, noninclusive terms as: 1. Installing new inlet and outlet pipes at two cells of the KBR 2. Modifying existing pipe to connect to the proposed inlets and outlets 3. Installing overflow weir between the existing reservoirs 4. Installing a temporary overflow on the western embankment of the western reservoir 5. Installing valves - refer to Valve Plan in the Drawings to determine which valves must be installed under this contact, and Section 01640 “Owner-Furnished Goods and Special Services” to determine which valves are Owner furnished. Also, relocate one existing main line valves 6. Installing cathodic protection 7. Modifying power distribution with service from S1X10 to the KBR. 8. Extending power duct banks and instrumentation duct banks to a. The valves installed under this contract and one existing valve b. New pressure indicating transmitters for reservoir level indication c. Existing piezometer wells (10 total) d. New lights around site e. New camera locations (cameras will be installed by others) f. Boxes for perimeter security system (security system will be installed by others) 9. Relocating fiber optic duct banks during construction 10. Demo Richland Chambers (RC) and Cedar Creek (CC) concrete weir structures (control structure) and restore ground and grade 11. Demo existing RC and CC Pipelines and backfill trenches as indicated. 12. Send materials from demolished pipe and weir structures to recycling as practically as possible. 13. Install new fencing gates and access roads. 14. The sequence of work requires filling and draining of pipelines and reservoirs. The Owner will operate main line valves and drain valves to fill and drain the pipelines. Because KBR is on a high point, most of the lines will drain by gravity; however, some pockets of water will not gravity drain. The Contractor shall provide all temporary piping or pumping as required to fill or drain lines to allow construction, operations or testing of the pipeline and facilities. Contractor shall assume that Owner will need one week between Steps 2 thru 9 for filling and draining of pipelines. The one-week period does not include contractors’ time for temporary piping or pumping to completely drain lines. Contractor will be required to provide all temporary piping during steps as needed to facilitate construction and testing. https://www.civcastusa.com/project/61434f1288629f2b88f4602f/summary david.owen@trwd.com
