Cattail Marsh Wetlands Repair

SCOPE
1. Exterior Slope Repair (all wetland cells) a) Remove the vegetation from the exterior slope and dispose. b) Scarify existing levee slope 3” deep prior to placing first lift of levee material c) Reconstruct the exterior slope in lifts, maximum 12” loose lifts, compacted to 95% Standard Proctor density, using clay fill obtained from an off-site borrow pit. d) Hydro-mulch seed the reconstructed levee slope. e) Install new geotextile fabric and construct crushed limestone road on top of berm. 2. Interior Slope Repair (wetland cells no. 3 and no. 4) a) Contractor shall coordinate with City personnel to remove cell from service, and shall dewater cell adjacent to levee slope to be repaired. b) Remove the vegetation from the exterior slope and dispose. c) Scarify existing levee slope 3” deep prior to placing first lift of levee material d) Reconstruct the interior slope in lifts, maximum 12” loose lifts, compacted to 95% Standard Proctor density, using clay fill obtained from an off-site borrow pit. e) Hydro-mulch seed the reconstructed levee slope. f) Install new geotextile fabric and construct crushed limestone road on top of berm. 3. Interior Slope Repair (wetland cell no. 1) a) Install a steel sheet pile coffer dam along the length of the repair, and dewater cell adjacent to levee slope to be repaired inside coffer dam. b) Remove the vegetation from the exterior slope and dispose. c) Scarify existing levee slope 3” deep prior to placing first lift of levee material d) Reconstruct the interior slope in lifts, maximum 12” loose lifts, compacted to 95% Standard Proctor density, using clay fill obtained from an off-site borrow pit. e) Hydro-mulch seed the reconstructed levee slope. f) Install new geotextile fabric and construct crushed limestone road on top of berm. 4. Sampling Station a) Construct a new reinforced concrete pad adjacent to existing pad. b) Relocate chain link fence, gate and cover to the new pad. c) Relocate sampler, including electrical to the new pad. d) Abandon existing pad. e) Hydro-mulch seed disturbed area. 5. Outfall Channel a) Install rock rip-rap to restore outfall channel, 8”-12” stone.
