SCOPE
The project scope of work generally consists of the removal of existing asphalt pavement and rejuvenation by mixing the removed asphalt with new emulsified recycling agents, water and additives (Cold Central Plant Recycling (CCPR)), and providing an overlay of 2-inch thick latex modified asphalt concrete on the streets per plans. Paved streets will require the restriping of lane lines, legends, markings, and placement of reflectors. Additional work to be performed by the contractor includes header cut along the edge of the concrete gutters, adjusting to grade manholes, valves and meters, removal and replacement of damaged curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveways, and the installation of handicap access ramps. High-Early concrete will be constructed at one intersection. Traffic signal modifications will be made at two intersections. Crack sealing will be done on Santa Fe Avenue and Bandini Boulevard. Please refer to the contract specification for a more detailed description of the scope of work for the project.
