BID DATE
02/27/20 - 2:00
AGENCY
Fresno County
ESTIMATE
$2,420,000
SCOPE
The work to be done consists, in general, of installing approximately 13,550 linear feet (9,587 linear feet of which is located within paved roadways) of high density polyethylene (HDPE) water mains with 10-inch, 8-inch and 6-inch diameters; reconnecting existing service lines to the new main; and providing and installing fire hydrants, isolation valves, blow-off assemblies and performing any other appurtenant work, all as described in the project plans and in these special provisions. This work is to be performed within the existing Fresno County Waterworks District No. 41 (Shaver Lake) water distribution system east of State Route 168. The HDPE pipe to be installed is to assume the functions of the existing asbestos-cement (A-C) water mains. The work also involves abandoning much of the existing A-C mains in place. In addition, certain segments of the A-C pipe will have to be removed, hauled away, and properly disposed. The work also includes the application of a slurry seal to some sections of the roads where the pipe will be installed. DesignServices@fresnocountyca.gov
