SCOPE
The project is located southwest of the City of Chico, and begins at the intersection of Hegan Lane and Dayton Road running approximately 2.35 miles northeasterly along Hegan Lane to approximately 80’ east of the Union Pacific Rail Road Tracks. The work consists of, but is not limited to: clearing and grubbing; removing and replacing existing CMP with RCP pipe; installing drainage inlets; grading roadside ditches or swales to drain; pre-pulverizing the top 10” of the existing asphalt concrete and aggregate base road section; removing and off-hauling the top 2” of the pulverized material; pulverizing, driveway aprons; spreading and mixing Type II cement at an application rate of 3% by weight over the surface and processing to a depth of 16”; windrowing the top 1” of treated material for shoulder backing; shaping and re-compacting the cement treated material to 95% relative compaction; paving the roadway mainline with 2” of ½” Type A HMA over 2” of ¾” Type A HMA; paving the driveway aprons with 2” of ¾” Type A HMA; spreading and compacting the top 1” of pulverized material for shoulder backing and mail box aprons; and replacing thermoplastic traffic stripes, markings and retro-reflective pavement markers, all in conformance with the California Department of Transportation 2010 Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions.
