SCOPE
The work is construction of the approximately 1.5 mile backcountry Lawson Trail. Work includes but is not limited to construction of un-surfaced trail 4-5’ wide, bench-cut, out-sloped with rolling tread, designed with intent of maximum running tread of 10-12%, switchbacks, armored crossings, and rock retaining walls. Additional work includes the installation of a 30’ long X 6’wide, fiberglass-kit trail-bridge and the construction of associated concrete abutments. Work is in rugged terrain on steep slopes with areas of sensitive and riparian habitat and with sensitive species that must be avoided or protected throughout project construction. MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT. County will conduct a Pre-Bid Conference at 10:00 am, Monday, July 15 at 1450 Pythian Road, Santa Rosa, California, to generally discuss project scope, to consider such matters as Bidders may request, and to review site conditions. The Pre-Bid site visit will include a vigorous 2-mile hike down the mountain, off trail on terrain with excessive cross slopes, contractors must be prepared for rugged terrain, poison oak and other wild-country conditions. Bidders must attend Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit. The Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will last approximately Three (3) hours. Karen.Davis-Brown@sonoma-county.org
