SCOPE
The Work consists of site work and construction of improvements at the City of Oceanside’s Harbor Lift Station No. 3 in the South Harbor. Harbor Lift Station No. 3 was originally constructed the early 1960s. The existing lift station wet well and dry well structures that currently house pumps, valves, piping, motors, and controls are constructed of reinforced concrete and welded steel. The lift station structures and mechanical components are over 50 years old and have reached the end their useful life. The project consists of the complete rehabilitation of the Harbor Lift Station No. 3. The existing dry-pit pumps will be removed and replaced with new submersible chopper pumps on slide rail systems that will be installed inside of the existing/rehabilitated wet well. The steel dry well enclosure will be abandoned and replaced with a below-grade precast concrete vault located approximately 10 feet higher than the existing structure. The demolition and disposal of existing piping, pumps, valves, and appurtenant features will be provided, per Plan. Additional accessibility improvements will provide collections with a safe and reliable means for ingress and egress, including additional working clearances. The project includes a new valve vault, rehabilitated wet well with expanded limits, approximately 400-ft of 6-inch discharge forcemain piping, new discharge manhole, fallprotection safety improvements, civil site work, new level control devices, various associated electrical and control system improvements, temporary bypass pumping, groundwater dewatering, and appurtenant lift station improvement features, per Plan. The electrical improvements include, but are not limited to, service conduits, conductors, reconnections and a feedback SCADA signal for new suction pressure transducer.
