AGENCY
Pima County
ESTIMATE
$18,500,000
SCOPE
This project consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 51,834 feet (9.8-miles) of wastewater lines including the evaluation and repair of approximately 60 manholes, and the reconstruction/replacement of approximately 10 manholes. After evaluating different pipe rehabilitation methods, PCRWRD has identified the cured in place pipe (CIPP) as a preferred method to rehabilitate the NRI. It is anticipated that a major portion of this rehabilitation effort will be driven by the preparation and set up of bypass pumping during construction. The County‘s decision to use the Construction Manager at Risk delivery method is motivated by a desire to accelerate project delivery. Using this method, the Owner expects that the Project can be ―fast tracked‖ to start construction in early 2014, with construction substantially completed by mid-2016. The preliminary Project construction budget is estimated at approximately $18.5 million.
