SCOPE
This project includes demolition and construction at two stream crossings in Holy Jim Canyon. The objective is to remove the low water crossings and provide replacement structures to allow stream flow within the existing roadway on Holy Jim Canyon Road (6S14) located on the Trabuco Ranger District (TRD) of the Cleveland National Forest. The upper site (Site #2) also includes breaching of 3 small mortar rock check dams. Additionally the project will include associated stream channel restoration work above and below each structure. The structures have been sized to accommodate both stream simulation and the design storm flows. The work to be done includes the procurement and installation of two 20 foot span by 16 foot wide prefabricated concrete bottomless arch culverts with head walls, wingwalls and associated buried rip rap along the culverts and wingwalls. The structure footings will be of cast in place reinforced concrete with stem walls. Additional fill material will be placed to raise the approach road to and from these structures and the asphalt paving will surface the approaches for a distance of 100' at each crossing. ERWIN R.
