SCOPE
The scope of work for this project includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures, and services required for repairs on Willow Creek Bridge located in Yavapai County, Arizona, on the Iron Springs Road crossing of Willow Creek in Prescott, Arizona about 1.16 miles west of Williamson Valley Road. The existing two span steel stringer bridge was built in 1935. It was widened in 1976, and scour protection was added in 1990. The work includes replacing two steel stringers and adding one new steel stringer under the curb and steel channel, replacing a portion of the concrete deck and one steel channel, lead paint removal and abatement, removing rust from all structural steel stringers and miscellaneous steel and re-coating them with an epoxy prime coat and two finish coats of paint, replacing bridge barrier rail, removing the concrete between steel stringers at the abutment and pier walls and encasing the ends of the steel stringers with concrete, diaphragms, repairing concrete deck between stringers 9 and 10 using externally bonded FRP, removing the existing asphalt topping and then, preparation of the top of the existing concrete deck, repairing the concrete deck where needed and applying polyester polymer concrete overlay, providing new deck drains, repairing cracks in the abutment and pier walls, approach roadway construction, culvert pipes, asphalt paving, striping and guardrail, and miscellaneous related work as shown on the project plans. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. There has been a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2018, in the Yavapai County Public Works Conference Room B located at 1100 Commerce Drive, Prescott, AZ 86305. Any questions or concerns about the project will be addressed at that time.
