SCOPE
(Notify Selected Firm of Award May 22, 2013) The Town’s overall goal for Sundance 10, 47 and 48 Park is to landscape and provide amenities to an approximate 26 acres of existing retention basins and open areas that are located within Sundance Planned Community’s Parcels 10, 47, and 48. Town seeks recommendations from the design and construction community to determine the overall best value strategy for landscaping. The following has been identified as minimum required elements for this project: • Finish grading required to mitigate erosion and sediment; • Removal of existing weed; • Spraying of pre-emergent for weed control; • Installation of 2” deep, ¾” minus, decomposed granite on all exposed surfaces; • Installation of a Ramada; • Installation of a Tot Lot with metal playground equipment/ • Installation of a concrete sports court; • Installation of an irrigation system; and • Installation of trees and shrubs The existing park area is comprised of un-landscaped retention basins that were graded in the mid 2000’s. They currently have visible signs of erosion and sediment deposition. Drainage facilities have been installed and will need no further action. Portions of the park are at street level for the installation of amenities for the local residents. Portions of the park had an irrigation system installed and was planted with trees. The irrigation system was abandoned and will have to be repaired and/or replaced. Trees that are still
