SCOPE
The Meeks Bay Trail (Schedule A) is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe approximately 10 miles south of Tahoe City and 18 miles northwest of South Lake Tahoe in eastern El Dorado County, California. The project includes construction of a 0.7-mile long Class 1 Bike Path on a new alignment. The bike path will start at the Meeks Bay Resort & Marina and end at the existing path near Sugar Pine Point State Park. Project improvements include a bike/pedestrian Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil-Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS) over a drainage channel, bicycle railings, rockeries, and water quality features to treat runoff from the SR 89 ROW. The project includes four crossings of private driveways and one crossing of a culvert. The Tahoe City Sidewalk and Bike Trail Project (Option X) is located in Tahoe City, California near the SR 89 and SR 28 intersection area. The project includes 0.4 miles of bike path construction, broken into three separate locations. The project also includes 0.25 miles of sidewalk construction at three separate locations. The project also includes the addition of lighting infrastructure along West Lake Boulevard. The project will tie into the existing Truckee River Bridge project. Removal of 55 trees • 2,500 CY of Roadway Excavation • 450 CY of Rockeries • 1,000 Tons of Hot Asphalt Concrete Pavement • 1,500 CY of Roadway Aggregate • 1 - Prefabricated weathering steel pedestrian bridge, 65' long • 1,700 feet of pedestrian railing Option X: - Significant items include (quantities are subject to change): • 0.25 miles of Lighting Improvements • 700 Tons of Asphalt Concrete Pavement • 800 SY of Concrete Sidewalk
