JOB
(CMAR) Ellsworth Rd Queen Creek Rd Intersection Improvements
BID DATE
10/24/17 - 9:00
AGENCY
Queen Creek
ESTIMATE
$3,500,000
SCOPE
In general, the Project will consist of street and drainage improvements to all three legs of the intersection to increase the number of through lanes on Ellsworth Road from Walnut Road to Fulton Parkway to three in each direction and Queen Creek Road to two in each direction. A west leg will be added to the intersection to serve future development. The roadway’s intersection will be shifted roughly 70 feet laterally in location to increase the Ellsworth Road curve radius and introduce superelevation to improve operational safety. Significant utility and drainage facilities will be avoided with minimal utility relocation. However, permits/clearances are required from El Paso Natural Gas (KinderMorgan), Maricopa County Flood Control District and United States Bureau of Reclamation. Proposed improvements will consist of existing pavement removals; grading; hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement; curb and gutter; sidewalks; street lights; traffic signals; driveways; storm drain scuppers, catch basins, water quality separators and pipe; signing and pavement marking, landscaping and associated irrigation.
