SCOPE
A. Project Description. The project scope includes the following: 1. Compliance with the Stream Maintenance Program 2 (SMP-2) Permit requirements, including installation of BMP’s; 2. Site, noise and vibration monitoring; 3. Traffic control for the project upon approval by the City of Santa Clara (City) 4. Clearing and grubbing within the project limits, including the removal of wooden fences, vegetation, rock riprap, sacked concrete and other miscellaneous items; 5. Control of water; including proper diversion of upstream drainage and channel flows; proper handling and disposal of groundwater flows that are byproducts of the required construction; proper handling and diversion of storm drain runoff from outfalls; 6. Channel excavation in compliance with CalOSHA, including excavation, testing and disposal of unsuitable materials; excavation and disposal of existing channel materials; 7. Channel embankment, including proper compaction of import fill; replacement of unsuitable materials, if appropriate and approved by the Engineer; 8. Grading of the existing channel bottom invert with rock lining; 9. Implementation of proper and adequate shoring for construction of the slope protection elements in compliance with safety requirements; 10. Demolition and disposal of asphalt-concrete pavement; 11. Installation and re-surfacing of asphalt-concrete pavement; 12. Reconstruction of driveways, sidewalks, and curb and gutters and other pertinent existing facilities impacted by construction activities; 13. Installation of Geotextile Fabric, Geogrid, Pyramat, Rock Slope Protection, Rock Grading, Rock Grouting, and Wooden Fences; 14. Working adjacent to, Delineating of and Demarcating of Existing Utility Facilities (including fiber optic lines, overhead utility lines, Caltrain Railroad facility, etc.); 15. Installation of Erosion Control Blankets and Mats; 16. Protection of existing residential fences during construction; 17. Potholing and protection of existing utilities within and immediately adjacent to the project limits, as needed; 18. Three (3)-year hydroseed establishment period; 19. Construction and removal of temporary access ramps and dewatering system(s) scvwdplanroom@valleywater.org
