SCOPE
The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contracting firm to perform the Rio Salado Pathway: 32nd Street alignment to SR143/Hohokam Freeway project which will include, but is not limited to, constructing paved multi-use pathway on top of the levee along the Salt Rivers south bank; constructing an underpass ramp with safety railings beneath the SR143 and 44th Street bridges adjacent to the south bank levee; reconstructing the existing maintenance access ramps beneath the SR143 and 44th Street bridges; constructing seating areas adjacent to the new pathway midway between the 32nd Street and 40th Street alignment and between the 40th Street alignment and 44th Street; constructing an access point to the new pathway a the 40th Street cul-de-sac to include ADA compliant bicycle and pedestrian ramp with retaining walls and safety railing, a shade Ramada and seating area, landscape materials and irrigation, curb, gutter, and sidewalk in the cul-de-sac; extending pipe culvert located approximately 300 feet west of the 44th Street bridge; installing safety railings where the northern shoulder will be less than 5 feet wide; adding visual cues such as pavement markings and signs to direct pathway users; installing swing gates at maintenance access road entrance locations; and, relocating the entry gate to the City of Phoenix property east of the cul-de-sac.
