SCOPE
The proposed Pavement Preservation and Safety Improvement project is located in Maricopa County within the Tonto National Forest starting at Milepost 203.4 approximately four miles east of the SR 88 (Apache Trail) intersection North Mountain View Road and ending at approximately 18 miles east at Milepost 220.2. The total length of the project is approximately 14.81 miles. The work consists of reconstructing six roadway curves, milling and replacing existing pavement for approximately first 10 miles, and double application seal coating the existing roadway for the remaining 8 miles, and reconstructing various pullouts and turnouts. The work also consists of reconstructing the existing approaches at different locations, and the removal of a boulder above the roadway. The work includes roadway excavation; earthen shoulder build up; removing and replacing guardrail and guardrail terminal end sections; extending existing drainage facilities; furnishing and installing signing and pavement markings; installing a Department furnished Dynamic Message Sign, and other related work
