JOB
Daily Road Drainage Hydro Booster Station
BID DATE
02/28/17 - 2:00
AGENCY
Eastern Municipal WD
ESTIMATE
$1,200,000
SCOPE
Grading and drainage improvements including modifying the slope of Daily Road to deliver storm water runoff to an earthen v-ditch and subsequent catch-basins located on the east side of the road. Storm water is conveyed from the catch basins through underground piping to an open concrete channel. An energy dissipater is provided near the end of the concrete channel to reduce velocity prior to combining with the remaining storm water from the barrow ditch on the east side of Daily Road. The combined storm water runoff is routed across the Daily II Tank access road via the existing valley gutter to the point of discharge in the existing spillway. The hydro-pneumatic booster station will replace existing private booster pumps currently providing potable water service to 10 parcels, with additional capacity for future growth (up to 5 additional parcels). This portion of the project will include two, constant speed pumps (1 duty, 1 standby) paired with a horizontal, steel, hydro-pneumatic, pressure tank. An air compressor will be provided with the hydro-pneumatic tank to replenish air periodically. A high flow bypass will be provided around the pumps in the event a large demand is required from one of the flushing hydrants on the discharge side of the booster station. The suction pipeline feeding the booster station will be connected to the existing Daily II Tank inlet/outlet line. The discharge pipeline will be provided from the new booster station to the old Daily I Tank Site with three branches along the alignment delivering the boosted water on to existing services. Eight of the existing service meter assemblies will be replaced as part of this project. All questions must be submitted in writing by 5:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2017 to Mr. Anthony Dominguez c/o Jason Callens and Greg Kowalski; EMAIL: domingua@emwd.org , callensc@emwd.org , and kowalskj@emwd.org.
